I am pleased to confirm that the acquisition of the Prophet™ system by SunGard has been completed. Prophet will operate as part of SunGard Sherwood Systems, a business unit of SunGard Data Systems Inc.

The acquisition by SunGard brings increased scale and expertise to Prophet's existing operation, ensuring your needs for actuarial software will continue to be met on a global basis. Our technology infrastructure, industry presence and product-development expertise enables SunGard to form a true partnership with our clients.

With the completion of the acquisition, the team to support Prophet is now fully in place, and I would like to introduce myself as the chief executive officer of SunGard Sherwood Systems. Speaking on behalf of SunGard, I can confirm it is the quality of Prophet’s people and its reputation, which instigated the acquisition.

I would also like to confirm that Martin Sturmey will continue in the role of chief operating officer for Prophet. Martin has been involved with Prophet since 1988.

Our aim is to ensure a smooth transition that causes little or no disruption to you. To that end, we will continue to work tirelessly to provide you with the highest levels of customer service and support. He is being supported by Chee Fui who be working in Hong Kong on secondment from the Prophet team in Chertsey.
